"This is indeed a drill"

Films: The Driller Killer (1979)

Alias: None

Type: Natural

Location: Civilized area

Height/Weight: That of an average human.

Affiliation: Evil

Summary: A moment of silence for all of those starving artists out there. A moment of contempt for all those murderous ones out there now.

History: Reno Miller's life stinks. There's really no dancing around it. He's a starving artist, he's sharing his apartment with people who don't really like him, he's behind in rent, and an irritating rock band just moved in next door. Maddened by both the band and constantly seeing homeless folk that he might join someday, Reno decides to just up and kill anyone who reminds him of his misery. With power drill in hand, he would all of this and more.

Notable Kills: Not much variety where a power drill is concerned.

Final Fate: Eventually, Reno murders just about everyone who ever slighted him. We never figure out where he goes from there, but it can't be pretty.

Powers/Abilities: His only weapon is a sharp power drill.

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 3.5-Maybe if he weren't so cartoonishly pitiful, he'd be scarier. But for now, he's an unhinged youth lashing out at anyone for making the world a worse place for him.

Trivia: -A remake was planned for 2007, but they couldn't get the rights from the guys behind the original.

-This film didn't get a fully uncut version until all the way into 2002.

At this point, you could count how many non-violent killers here on one hand.

One heck of a downward spiral.

Okay. I'm invested in the film now. Guess why?

"Kill again. Beardie commands you."
Perfect bullseye, Miller.

Yeah, life can be cruel, guys. Life can be cruel.

"TOO MUCH KOOL-AID!"
